If your community gave you a free car, could you help more people?
Those of us who are not actively working for the NHS or on the front line in the battle against Covid-19, wholeheartedly admire those of you who are. Your dedication during this difficult time is an inspiration to us all.
We started the Karshare Community Scheme because we recognised NHS workers, food banks, care workers and other essential charities would need to use cars to provide essential services to those who most need them – given the reduction in public transport and the need to minimise exposure.
We started in Bristol, moved to Brighton and now we’re into London in less than two weeks. We are keen to expand further to help as many frontline staff as we can in the coming weeks.
If you need to borrow a car from us for a week or two, please just register your details and we’ll be in touch. There’s no charge; it’s the least we can do.
And if you can donate a car, any type will help. While you stay at home, why don’t you send your car out to work instead, to support those very brave frontline staff.
Borrow a car
Are you an NHS, hospice, care home, community meal service or food bank worker/volunteer, and struggling with transportation?
Donate your car
If you have a car that you’re not using, sitting un-used in your street, we’d love to borrow it and put it to good use. We’ll clean it, test it for roadworthiness and insure it, then make sure it’s being used where it will really make a difference.
